New Road Testing Illustrates Impact Of RAS® On Body Roll And Bounce

Chances are, you've spent a good chunk of money on a truck that feels and drives like great on a daily basis. But what happens when you're carrying a heavy load? Squat, excessive body roll and rebound all begin to happen well before reaching max payload capacity, it can make driving a challenge, and can even be dangerous.

The RAS® RoadActive Suspension comes in by using a set of heavy duty tension coil springs that support the leaf springs proportionate to force applied. The RAS® springs work seamlessly in harmony with the leaf springs to reduce squat, bounce, and instability while maintaining unloaded ride without need for readjustments.

For 25 years, pickup owners have marveled at the improved bounce isolation and stability after adding RAS®. New testing footage shows the massive impact RAS® has on body roll and excessive rebound when loaded, making it a must-have upgrade for any pickup truck. Let's take a closer look at the results.

Body Roll Test

In one recent test, we compared the performance of a stock suspension with that of the RAS® suspension when loaded with 1000 lbs. We used an accelerometer to measure body roll, and the numbers speak for themselves: the RAS® has a significant impact on body roll when loaded.

As you can see, the truck with RAS® maintains a more stable posture, even when carrying a heavy load. This means you'll have better control, improved handling, and a safer ride.

Excessive Rebound Test

But that's not all. We also tested the impact of RAS® on excessive rebound when driving over a large dip. In this test, we used an accelerometer to measure the rebound of a truck with and without RAS® when driving over a large dip both loaded and unloaded. The results speak for themselves.

As you can see, the truck with RAS® experiences significantly less rebound, resulting in a smoother and more comfortable ride. This means you'll be able to drive with confidence, even when navigating bumpy roads or carrying heavy loads.

Versatility and Ease of Use

One of the best things about RAS® is its versatility. It's designed to work with a wide range of pickup trucks, including those with stock and lifted suspensions. Plus, it's easy to install and doesn't require any readjustment, making it a hassle-free upgrade for your truck.

Great Unloaded Ride Quality

Another benefit of RAS® is that it provides great unloaded ride quality. Unlike some other suspension upgrades that can make your truck feel stiff or uncomfortable when unloaded, RAS® maintains a smooth and comfortable ride even when your truck is empty.
