The Fastest Growing
Rear Leaf Spring Upgrade On The U.S. Market
Roadmaster Active Suspension is the only rear leaf spring suspension upgrade that converts basic “passive” leaf spring suspension to mechanical “active” suspension. Our system absorbs and dissipates load force energy, resulting in significantly improved vehicle stability, balance, traction and control, all with or without a load. Roadmaster Active Suspension adds critical strength to leaf springs, but will not compromise ride quality.

Eliminate Axle Wrap
Roadmaster Active Suspension effectively eliminates Axle Wrap and Wheel Hop, by preventing the additional force of the increased torque, twisting the axle housing and by so doing, will now not allow the leaf springs to distort. RAS with the two powerful variable-rated coil springs will now hold the leaf springs in the original bowed shape. The distorted S-shape twist and subsequent hop, is thereby eliminated. Traction to the tires are now increased and torque is transferred to the ground efficiently.
Axle wrap occurs when the rotational force of the tires causes the axlehousing to twist or rotate. This rotation forces the springs to bend into an S-shape. When the axlehousing rotates far enough, forces cause the tires to loose traction, and jump, or “hop”. Once traction is lost, the springs snap back into their original positions.
This happens over and over until the truck gains better traction or the driver reduces torque input by letting off the throttle.
Roadmaster Active Suspension effectively reduces axle wrap and wheel hop by “absorbing” the added force of increased torque while holding the leaf springs in their original bowed shape. The S-shape twisting, and subsequent hop, is thereby greatly reduced. Traction is increased because tires transfer torque to the ground efficiently.
The improvement to driving performance will be most noticeable when accelerating on hill climbs or at times of rapid deceleration, such as hard braking.
By reducing axle wrap, RAS also minimizes wear and tear on several truck components including internal axle assemblies, tires, shocks, shackles, U-joints and leaf springs, which ultimately saves you money.
Simplify Load Carrying
When a vehicle is overloaded the weight distribution shifts rearward, causing the rear to sag, the bulk of the load weight will now be transferred to the rear axle. This will also affect the steering, making it more floaty and less responsive. The conventional approach to increasing the load carrying of a truck, van or SUV has been to increase the stiffness of the rear leaf springs.
We at Roadmaster Active Suspension (RAS) came up with a solution that works wonders, to improve not only vehicle load carrying and preventing bottoming out, but will also greatly improve stability, handling, eliminate axle wrap and wheel hop, all without stiffening the ride. Customers get all these advantages in just one product. Since it’s North American introduction in 1998, RAS has sold over half a million kits world wide ‘with rave reviews”.

The kit comes fully assembled out of the box, with easy to follow instructions. Installation is simple taking less than an hour, with no drilling, cutting or welding and once installed requires no maintenance. RAS also comes with a full 30 day money back guarantee.
With a Roadmaster Active Suspension (RAS) kit installed on your pickup, you will be amazed at the improvement when cornering, and also the overall improvement in handling. Body roll will be greatly reduced and your vehicle will become considerably more stable and safer, with or without a load.

Roadmaster Active Suspension kits consist of two powerful variable rated coil tension springs, that when installed, convert passive leaf spring suspension into active suspension. Once installed RAS will support and assist the rear leaf springs by holding them in their original designed bowed optimum working position.
By not allowing the spring to flatten out, the vehicle corners more level with greater contact of all four tires to the road. This provides improved traction, which translates to better control and handling.
Make RV's Safer
If you tow a RV or have a load carrying or handling problem, we have the solution, you need a Roadmaster Active Suspension (RAS). This one-of-a-kind rear lead spring suspension up grade, when installed on your vehicle will greatly improve load carrying, handling, ride comfort all with or without a load. SUSPENSION UPGRADE FOR RV TOW VEHICLES
If you tow a RV and have a handling problem, we have the answer. Our kits were designed to improve stability of your leaf springs giving you a safer ride. This one-of-a-kind rear leaf spring suspension up grade, when installed on your vehicle will greatly improve load carrying, handling, ride comfort all with or without a load. The fact is, it’s the only rear leaf spring suspension product in the world that does it all!
How RAS Works
RAS converts basic “passive” leaf springs suspension to mechanical “active” suspension. Once installed, the powerful tension coil springs will hold the rear leaf springs in their original designed optimum bowed position. When strain from a load or vehicle weight shift is applied the powerful Coil spring stabilizers come into action immediately absorbing the force of the load. Being variable rated, the greater the strain on the leaf springs, the greater counter-assistance force from the RAS unit is applied.
RAS is the only system that instantly absorbs and dissipates load force energy, resulting in significantly improved vehicle load carrying, stability, balance, traction and control, with or without a load. RAS will add critical strength to the leaf springs without compromising ride quality. It will also eliminate bottoming out axle_wrap and wheel hop and greatly improve overall handling, by reducing sway and dangerous body roll when cornering and in cross wind conditions.
Tow vehicles that consistently operate under load, will also benefit from improved fuel efficiency and extended tire and suspension component life. The installation is a simple retrofit to most pickup and vans with rear leaf spring suspension, with up to 1.5 ton load carrying capacity. Once installed the RAS requires no adjustments or maintenance.
With a (RAS) system installed, your towing will become so much more enjoyable, safer and you will arrive at your destination with reduced driver fatigue.
15 Passenger Van Safety
RAS will make the vehicle safer and less prone to rollover, however, NO product in the world will prevent rollover occurrences. The Roadmaster Active Suspension enhancement can’t promise to eliminate rollovers but can significantly improve a van’s safety.
Complete rollover elimination in 15 passenger vans is impossible due to the vehicles design and the complexity of a rollover event. With the addition of the Roadmaster Active Suspension system, the vehicle will become safer and less prone to rollover. Thus was the conclusion after extensive independent dynamic handling tests conducted at the Transportation Research Centre Inc (TRC) of Liberty, Ohio. The study used a Ford E350, 15 Passenger Van as it represents 85% of this type of vehicle on US roads. The van was specially outfitted with test measuring equipment, professional driver and a simulated 14 passenger load. “Fully loaded with 15 people, this vehicle becomes almost three times as likely to rollover in an emergency situation and is one of the most dangerous vehicles on the road today”, said Clive Schewitz, Owner of Roadmaster Active Suspension Inc.“We commissioned the TRC study to show how effective our system is at significantly improving road handling, load carrying and safety said Schewitz. “Given the definitive margin of safety achieved by installing Roadmaster Active Suspension on 15 passenger vans, just imagine what it will do for your Pickup or SUV”, he added. During one test, a fully loaded 15-passenger van traveling 23 miles per hour went on two wheels and nearly overturned while making a fishhook turn (similar to a U-turn). The same van fitted with Roadmaster Active Suspension kept all four wheels on the ground when making the same turn at 25 miles an hour.
Roadmaster Active Suspension provides a 30 day money back guarantee, from date of purchase. However should the kit be returned, it must be re packed in the original packaging with all components included. The customer will be responsible for the return freight charges.
