Eliminate Axle Wrap

Roadmaster Active Suspension effectively eliminates Axle Wrap and Wheel Hop, by preventing the additional force of the increased torque, twisting the axle housing and by so doing, will now not allow the leaf springs to distort. RAS with the two powerful variable-rated coil springs will now hold the leaf springs in the original bowed shape. The distorted S-shape twist and subsequent hop, is thereby eliminated. Traction to the tires are now increased and torque is transferred to the ground efficiently.

Axle wrap occurs when the rotational force of the tires causes the axlehousing to twist or rotate. This rotation forces the springs to bend into an S-shape. When the axlehousing rotates far enough, forces cause the tires to loose traction, and jump, or “hop”. Once traction is lost, the springs snap back into their original positions.

This happens over and over until the truck gains better traction or the driver reduces torque input by letting off the throttle.

Roadmaster Active Suspension effectively reduces axle wrap and wheel hop by “absorbing” the added force of increased torque while holding the leaf springs in their original bowed shape. How RAS Works

RAS converts basic “passive” leaf springs suspension to mechanical “active” suspension. Once installed, the powerful tension coil springs will hold the rear leaf springs in their original designed optimum bowed position. When strain from a load or vehicle weight shift is applied the powerful Coil spring stabilizers come into action immediately absorbing the force of the load.
